MISSION

Friends transforming communities through service.

VISION

Enrich communities and improve the quality of life for people of African descent through friendship and service.

Our Story

In September 2012, a group of African American women assembled for the greater good of their community, Brazoria County.

For more than a year these women worked endlessly together to identify how they could best serve their community. Although there were many challenges along the way, in the Fall of 2013, six professional women from the Brazoria County area emerged from the existing group to revamp and refocus the group, so that their initial purpose could be accomplished.

Although African Americans were affluent, in the largest cities of Brazoria County such as Pearland, Alvin and Angleton, there was a great disparity amongst the African American Youth. Academically African American Youth, fell short not only to their Anglo counterparts, but their Hispanic counterpart as well.
